The Curriculum
Yr 7 making connections, Rivers and Flooding, People Everywhere, Weather and Climate.
Yr 8. Weathering and Erosion, Hazards (tsunamis, Cyclones, Volcanoes, Earthquakes), World Environments (e.g Rain Forests and Deserts), Development (Brazil and Italy).
Yr 9. begin their GCSE course, covering topics including Coasts, Glaciation, Ecosystems, Tectonics, Economic Geography, Settlements and Resource Management.
We have also successfully launched a Fieldwork programme for Years 9 and 10, with a vist to Flamborough Head. Other trips are planned and we hope to extend opportunities into the lower school.
We have seen a huge increase in students opting for the subject in the current Year Ten.
