What we cover:

Key Stage 4 / GCSE History

Years 9 & 10 are following Edexcel Modern World History (Syllabus B).
Papers 2 & 3 are taken at the end of Year 10.

• International Relations 1919-69 (Paper 1)
• USA 1919-41 (Paper 2)
• Britain 1903-1928 (Paper 3)
• The Vietnam War (Controlled Assessment)

Year 11 are following OCR Modern World History (Syllabus B)

• International Relations, 1919-45  & USA, 1919-41 (Paper 1)
• Britain, 1906-1918 (Paper 2)
• Germany, 1933-45 (Coursework)

Key Stage 5 / AS and A-level (Year 12-13)

Edexcel AS GCE History (8HI01)
Unit 1 in taken in January and Unit 2 in June

Unit 1 – Option C:
• Relations with the American colonies and the War of Independence, c1740-89
• The Slave Trade, Slavery and the Anti-Slavery campaigns, c1760-1833

Unit 2 – Option C:
• The Experience of Warfare in Britain: Crimea, Boer and First World War, 1854-1929

Edexcel A2 GCE History (9HI01)
Coursework is completed by Easter. Unit 2 is taken in June.

Unit 3 – Option B:
• France 1786-1830: Revolution, Empire and Restoration

Unit 4 – Coursework (CW31)
• Autocracy and Enlightenment in Europe, c1700-c1800
