Our school has always been known for organising many international activities such as trips and exchanges abroad, but in 2004, St Mary's decided to develop its international dimension even further by attempting to become an International School. In order to achieve this goal, an International Coordinator was appointed; Miss Sandrine Bonnot and many more international activities took place that year. Having successfully completed the international dossier, in September 2005, St Mary's College became an International School for the duration of 3 years (2005-2008) this title is a prestigious title given by the British Council, which is the official organisation dealing with educational international projects all around the world.
Last year, we reapplied to the British Council in order to renew our International School status. Once again, we were successful in being reaccredited International School for another 3 years (2008-2011). We are very proud of gaining the international school status for the second time and we are even more determined to achieve our aim:
To make our students aware of the world around us and to prepare them to become active citizens of the wider world through being involved in as many international activities as possible.
